Murgh Makhani, Butter Chicken

This wonderful Indian dish features marinated chicken braised in a spiced tomato cream sauce. It's one of those dishes which seems to taste even better reheated the next day.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies
This peanut butter cookie recipe appears to be quite popular on the internet. What bothered me about it though was the amount of sugar used.I reduced the amount by half and they turned out great.

Gajar Ka Halwa, Carrot Halwa
I used to live near Coxwell and Gerrard in Toronto (home to one of the largest East Indian communities in North America). Carrot Halwa was available at several shops and restaurants where it often had a thin layer of edible silver on it.

Khao Pod Tod; Thai Corn Patties with Cucumber Sauce

One of my favourite appetizers.

 Gombapörkölt; Hungarian Mushroom Stew
My Hungarian grandmother used to make this stew.

Rosace à l'Orange, Upside-down Orange Cake

This French dessert is assembled upside-down. When inverted onto a serving plate it's a lovely looking cake.

Feta Cheese Spread

Quick, easy and delicious!

Mushroom Ravioli

These freeze well, so I like to make a bunch in one go.

 Watermelon Margarita

This recipe doesn't make a very strong drink.

 Chile con Queso with Meat

This stuff  does taste quite good (it's salty and wonderful with cold beer, to wash it down) and is very popular in Texas.

Potato, Leek & Corn Chowder

Yum!

Moist Yellow Cupcakes with Browned Butter Frosting

I have been experimenting a bit with my cupcake recipe to try to get it closer to the cupcakes which are sold at Whole Foods.
